FROM THE PRESIDENT-PLACENTIA ROWING CLUB INC.

It is with tremendous regret that the Placentia Rowing Club finds itself in the unenviable position that we must cancel the 2020 Annual Placentia Regatta, along with associated activities.  

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and the related restrictions put in place by the Public Health Authority, we are definitely unable to proceed with this year’s event, especially considering that large gatherings are strictly prohibited at this time.  We absolutely agree with these restrictions as the safety of all those concerned MUST be our first priority!

We remain committed to the continuation of our Regatta and during the coming months, as the restrictions are eased, the Placentia Regatta Committee will work hard to ensure Regatta 2021 is one of the best ever!  

We hope all crews, coxswains, concessionaires, volunteers and the general public will understand our predicament and will continue to support the Placentia Regatta in the future!

Most importantly, everyone please stay safe and enjoy your summer!
