The Town of Placentia is pleased to sponsor the Voices of Placentia Bay Festival.  Placentia 350 Inc. will present the Ninth Annual Voices of Placentia Bay Festival on July 31 to August 2, 2020  Placentia tradition of singing and storytelling is one of the best examples of intangible cultural heritage in Newfoundland and Labrador.  Many people and events in the area have influenced the music and stories of Placentia.  This festival will continue to explore some of the main influences such as the Placentia Bay Resettlement program, the influence of the American presence at Argentia and the deep connection between people and place. Most importantly it will preserve and share the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Placentia Bay while presenting the vast pool of talent in our region.
