The Town of Placentia is proud of its very long and storied heritage in sports, recreation and active living. The town prioritizes opportunities for all ages to engage in exercise and active lifestyles and backs that continued commitment and investment through its Recreation Commission.

Placentia maintains a large network of parks and facilities for both team and individual activities. These include:

  • Willard Hatfield Memorial Ball Field

The Town of Placentia is also in the process of pursuing the construction of a community swimming pool in partnership with the Placentia Lions Club.

Placentia CYN (Community Youth Network) provides a variety of services, events and programs targeting youth in grades 7-12. The initiative concentrates on career development, leadership, community capacity building, recreation and supportive services. Placentia also offers summer recreation programs delivered by Placentia Area Development Association for younger children, aged 4 – 14.

Arts and crafts workshops and other activities are offered throughout the year at the Placentia Bay Cultural Arts Centre.
